Our first venture into commercial design/build.
The design challenge here was to break up a square space that was at the intersection of the front door and three hallways and provide a functional space for a receptionist that was nice but not ostentatious. The design included 2 side tables for the lobby, the semi circular desk anchored by another large drum and an even larger round corner cabinet with storage. The glass topped desk is made of three different kinds of Cherry Veneer as are the drums which are topped with a book matched Maple Burl. The design is borrowed from one of my favorite styles of Mid Century Modern.
This is another large installation that is very difficult to photograph properly but in person I believe hits the nail on the head.
